South Korea - Russian Olympic team - 2:5

Today on the 19th of March, the Russian Olympic (B) national team played their second friendly match against South Korea away. Head coach Oleg Bratash made just the one change to the line-up, replacing Ilya Ezhov with Igor Ustinsky between the pipes. The game began with a minute's silence in memory of Sergei Gimaev, a legendary Russian ice hockey player and commentator who sadly passed away yesterday.

South Korea, who had narrowly lost 3:4 yesterday, showed no fear against their Russian opponents. Sergei Shumakov gave Russian an early lead, but the South Koreans came back with two goals of their own to take a shock 2:1 lead in the second period.

Nevertheless, Russia B managed to get back on track. Konstantin Okulov, Dmitry Ogutsov, Viktor Komarov and Vyacheslav Leshchenko scored further goals, securing a 5:2 Russian Olympic team victory!
