Grigory Dronov: "My dream is to play at the World Junior Championship again"

The under 20 Russian national team are continuing to prepare for the Black Sea Cup in Sochi.

This year, goalkeeper Vladislav Sukhachyov, defensemen Mikhail Sergachyov and Grigory Dronov and forward Mikhail Rubtsov are all eligible to compete at the World Junior Championship. Grigory Dronov shared his thoughts about the possibility of competing at a second tournament.

Russia U20 defenseman Grigory Dronov:

- This is my first time playing at the Black Sea Cup. As soon as we arrived, we were told that previous showings with the team will not be taken into account, we all have to prove ourselves again. My dream is to play at the World Junior Championship again. Competition within the group is high, but there are still seven months until the tournament begins. The facilities in Sochi are excellent for training, it's good to speak with my old friends in the team again. Tomorrow, we will alll watch the senior national team's World Championship semi-final against Canada. On behalf of Russia U20, I wish the players luck!
